Ladeado Regalsystem

Ladeado Regalsystem
German Patent DE29821788 Ladeado is a shelving-system of modular boxes to store up magazines and leaflets. In a competition for furniture called “perspectives 99” in Basel (Switzerland) the system won a design award because of its simple but effective connecting system. (published in Hochparterre 3/99, Swiss design magazine)
- The whole system consists of a single material: the Scandinavian plywood of birch.
- No screws only a traditional connection of a sliding dovetail holds the boxes in different combinations together.
- The assembly and disassembly of any arrangements can be made by an easy handling, so that no tool is needed.
- Both understandable and encouraging are the elements of connection.
- A long dovetail-shaped strip and its slotted counterpart make it possible to build the piece of furniture in a short time ready to use.
- The change of the two positions upright or inclined proceeds in one elegant handling.
- The inclined storing protects the magazines from the usually but very disagreeable bending.
- Young people, who need to be flexible and move often can use the boxes for transporting their stuff.
